I tried the Maotai Baijiu Luckin coffee today. I have to say - it’s actually pretty good. An Irish coffee with Chinese characteristics 😂
It must be insanely hard for a brand like Maotai to take a risk in doing this. Kudos for whoever pulled it off - and executed it this incredibly well.

I’d love to try this because at the face of it, coffee and baiju seem like about as natural a combo as oil and water*. I’m intrigued…
For those unfamiliar with baiju, it’s a high-proof sorghum liquor that tastes sort of like pineapples, rolling tobacco and gasoline (but in a good way, if you can imagine it).
