Do you happen to use a network capture tool
Discussion
I don't believe so, but I don't know exactly what that means
The amount of data that goes over the network like webpages and streaming and such, would fill up hard drives in days or sooner... Fortunately it is just kept in RAM and displayed on your screen. But, if you use a network capture tool to "save" all that data flying around in order to analyze later, where all the pieces of data came from and are going to, then the data can pile up very quickly...
Don't think I have that
How would I check if I do?
Most likely if you don't know about it, you may not have one installed unless you're like me and just install anything and everything that looks inspirational! 😅
You know, I don't really know how you would check for that. It is a source of paranoia for me as well... I recently found a Linux distro called Dynebolic Linux which has OpenSnitch preconfigured on the ISO... It reminds me of the old ZoneAlarm for Windows. I'm debating between SplitLinux, NixOS w/WayDroid, Kicksecure, Dynebolic or Qubes as my "secure" daily driver. To get really paranoid, one must deploy a network intrusion system methinks. Maybe SELKS or some such server Linux?
