Govs will and can shutdown non-custodials too .. unless it is as pervasive as internet .. for example .. if they mandate all btc ETFs to hold part of their bitcoin with Fed , #bitcoin will crash .. or they can choke coinbase at any time ..

The idea that self custody bitcoin can sustein its weight without being pervasive is far fetched ..

Unless you have five billion people using zaps .. and it is like in the blood ..

Revolutions always happen bottom and up ..

its like the difference between the internet and CompuServe and Prodigy in the early days.

yeah they can shut it down,

but it's orders of magnitude more difficult

there is no solution that escapes the necessity for people to learn self custody.

which is another way of saying "private key management."

its will be a basic skill for the digital age.

if not to secure your own money, then to prove your own identity.

Sir .. my wife is an electrical engineer from one of the most reputed institute ( in India ) .. when I try to talk self custody to her .. she looks at me as if I am a wall .. with no paintings or decor ..

Now I see your point with generational shift .. yes ..new kids will have it in their DNA .. but that again means another fifteen years ..
