Religiously, the dinosaurs were punished and that is the reason for their extinction, and this is an example for mankind to understand that no matter how big or strong we can’t survive when God chooses otherwise. This also means that the dinosaurs were capable of making choices and reason upon them, like us, they were not acting instinctively like other animals.
