I think there are, yes, esp if you use the custodial wallets everyone recommends.

It feels like the endgame for LN is for all transactions to stay on there and never actually settle on the actual block chain which is basically just making everyone use a less secure, more centralized bitcoin (akin to the normal banking system). LN has no proof of work afak and there is no "full transaction list" being distributed to all the users. it has the same "problems" that nostr has with missing posts/followers and spam but the problems actually matter since it's for a medium of exchange instead of dumb microblogs

the plan is you keep your everyday acc on ln and savings onchain

bitcoin doesnt have enough transactions for the world tho

There are a lot of issues with lightning though.

maybe but the bitcoin guys seem confident in it

you cant scale a blockchain is the problem lightning addresses

well they have made themselves very rich so far but the volatility suggests its precarious
