Yeah, it's like I'm dragging a bunch of dead npubs behind me. That must be how some people have 100k+ followers, but only about twice as much interaction as I do.

Mine probably doesn't have as many dead npubs because it's just not as old.

The stats would be so much more interesting, if they only contained npubs that had been active within 3 months.

Stats at different time intervals would be interesting

I think the 100k+ followers comes partly because they’re celebrities from twitter and partly because of the trending circle jerk

Doesn’t every new npub follow a set of npubs (if you use certain clients)? You can get to 100k+ easily in 2 years

Well, it means that people aren't staying long enough to find npubs that aren't celebrities.

Or that they don’t unfollow the default list. But yes I agree there’s a lot of npub tourism
