it’s weird to have a Galt's Gulch for social, but people are like it doesn’t have an algorithm so i prefer to be elsewhere

In Atlas Shrugged, most people did not go on strike. There's probably a reason for that.

People wouldn't want to be in galts gulch, you have to work to earn your keep there. You have to work to curate your feed here. #bitcoin is the same way. Step out of the path of least resistance and the rewards are huge. You have to learn things and you have to take personal responsibility for it to work though.

As soon as work other than writing gets negotiated on nostr and paid for in bitcoin we have galts gulch but better. We will be distributed, so no geographic single point of failure like in the book.

I've seen a few algos out there. I don't use them but I've seen them floating around.

#proofofwork

Okay, here's your proof of work brother:

https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/522

I meant, you’ve done the proof of work, people who want them just need to look for them. If it’s not on the main client they use, they write off the protocol.

Well maybe its an opportunity for someone to fork a client and use an algo relay as the default.
