Honestly haven’t paid any of it lol. Income based repayment plan set at $0 required payment, plus they suspended it all for a couple years during Covid. The amount has almost doubled from interest since I finished grad school in 2012 though. Eventually something will have to give but probably it will be the entire debt laden fiat system and it will all be hyperinflated away. Even though I know I’ll personally be fine in the long run, most student borrowers will never repay that debt, same as the US government.

In my defense, I didn’t have an adult brain when I took those loans. I was just doing what all the adults told me to.
