Damn, unfortunately I had to block / hide a few nostr OGs for supporting nostr subreddits and the censorship they bring.
Should I make n/weed and control what everyone can post, say, and see?

I don't understand what a nostr subreddit is? But if this is something akin to a community/group then I don't see the problem with so called "censorship", but again I don't know what this is.
Censorships is what twitter/facebook, etc. does. Communities have rules, like if someone sets up a group about IDK football and a person joins and wants to talk about politics, kicking them out isn't censorship, just a rule so the community is about the thing it was set up to do.
So what the fuck is a nostr subreddit those two words don't go together for me.

I feel you are correct. Nostr is for freedom of speech, bringing in censorship via moderators is a backwards idea.
#Nostr is an open protocol, not a platform. If they want to build a Reddit-like client on the protocol, they are free to do so. And no one is forcing everyone using the protocol to use their client. If nostreddit turns out to be overly censorious, just ignore it and hashtag away. 🤙

Just curious as to how folks could find value in censorship communities where one or a few folks make all the decisions, thats being built ontop of the nostr protocol that promotes nothing but freedom....
Personally, I can't fuck with that kind of wishy washy shit....
