Only pool mining I have done is for the blockparties that nostr:npub1t6el40knsq8hmrpr0m6tt3t0tr4pdeyhlt2qelwhgtwawddqx0xsv03scu puts on.
Pool mining isn’t really worth it with such low hashrate imho. If you do, I would definitely use a pool that gives payout via lightning.
A friend recommended ocean and I believe they offer lightning payout but I haven’t done all the research to commit to it yet. Have you done any modifications to the bitaxe? I just bought (but haven’t yet received) noctua fans. Not sure if they will better cooling but supposed be be really quiet.
Ya I think ocean does lightning payouts. not sure if you have to have bolt12 recieve or lnurl for it though.
no mods on mine. I bought mine with a Noctua fan included. I run it at 100% fan speed and can’t hear it at all where it sits 4 feet away from my desk where I work 8+ hours a day.
It does an ok job cooling it. On hot days in the summer I put the bitaxe on the ground in front of my fan. It will overheat sometimes if its >80 degF without the additional circulation.
Oh man. I haven’t had any over heating issues yet. Second bitaxe ASIC was running at +/- 68 but I lowered the ASIC voltage 50mv which got it down to 61 without any noticeable difference in hash rate. Other than that change both are running default settings
ya a but of a bummer but its only really a problem when its a hot day and in that case Im running a big fan in my space anyways.
i also dont have any ac or good circulation in my house.
I run mine at 1060 mV at 550 MHz
