I respect your powers of observation. I believe in ₿. I believe in #nostr. I use them as an anti-venom for a toxic society and culture. I have personally noticed a drop off in engagement although I don’t know that I can link it to the price of Bitcoin for me at least. The drop in engagement for me might be partly because I hadn’t been posting here as much as I did in the earlier days and I also hadn’t been engaging as much myself. It might also just be because people don’t find what I post interesting.

I’ve also noticed that without algorithms on Nostr it can be very sensitive to exactly when I post something as to whether people actually see it. Reposting can help but I try to avoid annoying people with too many reposts

I’m trying to focus more on Nostr again, posting more frequently on more topics. I’ve also been cleaning up my following list and have been trying to find new, active and interesting people to follow which has helped give more visibility of content that I want to see.

Agreed. Also, I have noticed the APAC timezone I get almost no engagement. If I post in the morning or late at night when either folks from EU or the Americas are online, that's when I see the most. I think reposting your content is a necessary evil on Nostr, since, as you mentioned, no algo to show a "what you missed" or a "you might like" in your feed.

Yeah it is the mornings or late at night that I find get more engagement too. I’m not specifically after a lot of engagement anyway so it’s more of just an interesting observation but some engagement is nice to know that I’m not just posting here talking to myself! 🤣 As much as I hate hashtags I think they can also be useful on Nostr for people to find posts later on since a lot of the search functionality is still not great.
