I have been listening to podcasts discussing the measurement and precision of Egyptian stone vases that are some of the oldest artifacts found from ancient Egypt.

The precision of manufacture on these vases are on par with what I see in the aerospace machining world.

How the Egyptians made these thousands of years ago is a REMARKABLE mystery that should been met with way more curiosity.

Why make stl available if we are trying to prove precision? I would expect the point cloud would be better data to justify precision.

I’m guessing it makes it more digestible to more people. I assume the STL is based off of the point cloud coordinates.

The STL has already been used to determine that the vase was designed by algorithm.

Not by human. It is based on radians.

It is super fascinating stuff.
