Really interested in the idea of bringing Fediverse and Nostr together over RSS. I’m not a dev and my skills are limited in that regard but I do have other skills in abundance.

YouTube won’t let me watch stuff without logging in or allow me to use a VPN. Fuck them. Peertube exists.

Spotify are killing grass roots and indie music. Fuck them.

I could go on but you get the gist. Excited to have some free time to read up and try some new things over the holidays.

Yeah it runs on the ActivityPub protocol but I think it can also integrate with RSS. I’ve run an instance for a couple of years now but I need to do some extra reading as the Federating side is still a bit mysterious. It’s the best YouTube alternative I’m aware of.

It does integrate with RSS, there was a handful of feeds from the No Agenda Peertube instance. Work had been done to integrate PC 2.0 features, so you could boost and podping and all that good stuff. Sadly, NAT was nuked and I can’t show you.

Ahh shame, I did see they’d added a btc v4v option but whenever I tried to stream it would crash on my and I’m not especially technical on web stuff. Owncast is very simple and just works. There’s no v4v option but I have QR codes. So far most income has come via Ko-Fi but most my engagement comes from Mastodon/GoToSocial etc.
