Have you considered that you're on a German instance, and your "honeypot" is basically inviting people to post material that's illegal in Germany?

Except they're posting it from countries where it's perfectly legal while you're consuming it in a country where it is not. Good luck explaining that to the judge.

Well, according to his profile, he's actually in the US so it wouldn't be illegal for him to even post Nazi stuff, but it might irk the instance administrator to have this sort of stuff show up in their database.

Either way, the most likely outcome of this is for them to simply defederate from us, which wouldn't be the first time, and is certainly not going to stop any of us.
