Thanks Lance. If you run DDG on its own is it as good as the onion browser on IOS?

Rapidly exceeding my technical knowledge. But I think no.

DDG is only going to keep what you searched for private. Your ISP will still be able to see where you went.

Tor/Onion browser, is going to make that harder as your traffic goes into Tor network then is very much harder to track.

Also... Not sure what DDG browser does on networking side. Presuming nothing, but I would think do "stuff" about cookies and history.

Out of my depth at this point. :-)
