“Six Degrees of Lois Weisberg” By Malcolm Gladwell

Excerpt from The New Yorker article, which I read in my copy of magazine as a subscriber back when it was published:

The writer claims that people like Roger and Lois have an innate and involuntary affinity for people. The writer describes how Lois met her 2nd husband, Bernie Weisberg, at a party for Ralph Ellison. The writer claims that Lois isn't bound by the same boundaries that defeat the rest of us, and that the secret to her connections is that "she likes lots of people."

I’m like Lois, EXCEPT I am definitely *NOT* a People Person, so not sure why I know so many damn people!

It’s VERY strange!!

Strangers keep talking to me and I do not radiate a “come talk to me and tell me your life story and problems” vibe! 😡

I’m probably too polite and empathetic & sympathetic! Too draining!

Let me REPEAT: I am *NOT* a People Person!
