What will be the impact of Nostr on GDPR and other data protection laws around the world?

Nostr is fundamentally incompatible with these regulations, much like how Bitcoin operates outside the framework of fiat currency rules.

if you reckon it's outside of the legacy system then there is no point in thinking of such insignificant matters

It depends.

In the event that we want to build an optional Nostr-based backend for Labelbase, then “the right to be forgotten” is no longer given, which GDPR prescribes.
