what makes those statements fanatical rather than skeptical?

The mother having it makes sense to vaccinate the child.

Other than blood transfusions and of course different sex acts. Are they're other ways to contract hep b. Like more common ways kids would share germs among each other?

I truly don't know the transmissibility of hep b. But if the vast transmissions (say 95%+) are from the above 3 ways then id be hesitant on mandating all babies should get that vaccine.
