The democratization of music has taken it to the worst levels in history.

The democratization of video generation will bring cinema to the worst levels in history?

Before Gutenberg’s movable-type printing press, every book was a masterpiece. Only great books could afford to be hand-copied by scribes.

After the printing press we got flyers, advertisements, pornography, journals, newspapers, theses, novels, etc. etc. Quantity skyrocketed, but average quality tanked.

Such is the nature of improvements to communication technology.

Music was already bad before the internet took off

Cinema is also, already bad

Bitcoin standard will allow for both artforms to re-emerge in a qualitatively better form

Things are better than ever but broken incentives keep the cream down at the bottom

Democratization means everyone has chance, even the ones who don't represent much quality. Would you restrict talented creators to thrive for some idiots? That's not the way bud.
