When someone tries to sell all the world's supply of an infinite asset, the more they sell the lower the price goes. At some point, it gets too worthless for them to sell any more. It's terrible for the people who haven't sold the infinite asset yet because there are no buyers left. As the price keeps going down and down, buyers keep holding out for even lower prices and refuse to buy.
