I grew up on Long Island and we played wiffel ball in driveways & stick ball in the street. we did not have that fancy cone thing. lucky you!

That's the shoulder bone of a large animal, a.k.a home plate.
aah. looking closer I see.
yeah, no, we could have used a dead cat, but we did not have large boned animals in the burbs.
we used a folding chair as the strike zone, and since we played zones, there was no running. two man teams. pitcher & fielder, in the driveway to avoid traffic delays like with #stickball :)
Us too. We would've make balls out of tape as well.
