"Bastiat was indeed a lucid and superb writer, whose brilliant and witty essays and fables to this day are remarkable and devastating demolitions of protectionism and of all forms of government subsidy and control. He was a truly scintillating advocate of an unrestricted free market". Murray Rothbard nostr:note1wp4g2ukst5w8tvwymnpyzrtffhrgalggneagw2uulh4z68al3lysmgdk8f

If you’ve never read The Law I highly recommend—it’s so refreshing to know that there was someone deep in history that understood how retarded the state was even that long ago.

Listened to it a couple times over the years. Bastiat OG. Died at 49 too, could’ve written much more.
