It is still possible to build beautiful spaces. This is the great hall in my church in Dallas, built four years ago.

I went back and checked. it was actually built before Covid. I'm not sure it would be possible to build it now.

That is timeless. No need to renovate it every 20 years.

I agree. Aside from the sanctuary, which is also beautiful, the great hall is one of my favorite indoor place in the city.

New beautiful structures are hard to come by these days.

very hard, as it turns out. everything is a box. We say we don't want to live in a box, but structurally speaking, it's an efficient shape. Efficiency is not inspiring, though.
