Yea, these are bluesky forks. I was reading on Forbes on ppl getting booted out from bluesky. Unless there are various clients making their own independent decisions while basing on at-protocol, it doesn’t serve its function yet as a protocol based social media no matter how this is spin . And it’s important to say that because ultimately we want at-protocol to serve its mission for a global purpose. As of now it is a largely centralised platform that’s dubbed as protocol based and it is dangerous. And I say this with good intentions

I was complaining about it and calling them out. Then several people said that it’s a couple weeks away the federation system being turned on. So I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for a few weeks. For now I’m waiting to see what happens. Their vision is all around opening up with federated PDS servers, so if they back away from that, it’s a huge change.
i just got the bluesky invite 10 mins ago ironically. Been waiting for it since the first time i heard abt it yrs go but out of principle, i'll join when everyone gets to join. Also, its gonna be both enabling the federated servers, and encouraging multiple client and use case adoption. Market adoption of the at-protocol is what would make a difference.
