In 1856, John Taylor invented “Taylor’s Prepared Ham” or “Taylor Ham” for short.

In 1906 the FDA forced him to change it to “Pork Roll” because it didn’t meet the U.S. government’s definition of ham.

He died three years later, we can only assume in disgust at his life’s work being diminished by regulatory overreach.

Pork Roll is for statists. Taylor Ham is for anarchists.
