now Nostr right

Seriously, I don't oppose an elected Nostr official to represent us on the world stage.

To me, Nostr is a digital nation. Similar to Balaji Srinivasan's "Network State".

But what makes a nation a nation?

1. A Shared Identity

Nations are built around a sense of collective identity, a language, culture, shared history, and symbolic markers.

The Nostr state shares its culture though notes and other stuff transmitted through relays. The primary language is English, but its true dialect is memetic. From #zapathons and #pepethons to daily GMs and GNs, Nostr has carved out a unique culture.

Nostr also claims its own symbols: the color purple, and the ostrich, proudly carried as its flag.

2. A Common Territory

Traditional nations are anchored to physical territory. On Nostr, this territory is digital.

Nostr’s “land” exists within relays, where each user holds property through public/private key pairs. These cryptographic coordinates form sovereign plots of digital space. The protocol’s architecture enables freedom of association, self-hosting, and censorship resistance, upholding strong digital property rights.

Inhabitants of this space, known as Nostriches, see themselves as sovereign individuals. They share a common understanding of the protocol rules, "just do things" and connect freely.

3. A Shared Economy

Economic ties often define nationhood. Nostr has its own truly sovereign economy.

Zaps, microtransactions powered by Bitcoin, enable peer-to-peer, permissionless value exchange. No third parties. No borders. Just sovereigns sending sats to sovereigns. Peer to Peer, as Lord Satoshi intended.

This is the first and only truly decentralized digital economy in the world: open, borderless, and alive.

4. The Will to Exist Together

Ernest Renan once said, "A nation is a daily plebiscite." It continues to exist only as long as its people choose it.

Nostr is entirely voluntary. No one can be removed. Anyone can leave. And yet, if you return, your digital capital (your keys, your identity) is still yours. Permanently.

This is sovereignty. This is freedom.

Nostr is the world’s first Network State.

It meets every criterion of nationhood: identity, territory, economy, and voluntary community.

It is time the world saw it as such.

LOL 😅🤣

I mean what does it take to become president

1. A donor base with a shit-ton of money (check)

2. A candidate who isn't a pussy (check)
