Wiki is a great use case for nostr. How do we grow wikifreedia?
Discussion
I think it's starting to happen
one thing I would like to see is niche sites (e.g. forks of wikifreedia's code) that focus on a topic
the first one I thought of was medicine, which is a highly censored topic
all it would need is a:
* domain name
* UI that matches the topic
* filtering all content via the niche site's choosen category
launching a "nostrmd.com" is basically a weekend project
Maybe starting with forking existing Wikipedia into Nostr? We can see how much it will deviate during the months and years...
nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft done great initiative - "reading" should be made super easy for non-nostr users also
writers need npub to sign in edit/add. overall process need to be simple n sustainable.
LLMs will kill off most wiki use cases. Picture a local LLM that can quickly summarize your personal content library regardless of copywrite.
I agree that llms will get way more use in place of wiki but you still need a place to add info.
GitHub is better. How long until mr. Bill Gates raise his walled garden and put dissident devs outside?? Like he’s doing on LinkedIn now.
We are basically pedo bill employers at this point.
