Good games usually have standalone versions. I'd recommend showcasing a family/child-friendly #FOSS game like #Luanti / #Minetest.

Also, I'm not sure if you can one-click install Steam from Linux Mint's software store. You might have to enable unverified flatpaks or install from Steam website.
