For those in the US:

The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) is a far more effective organization than the NRA ever was.

Example: existing members are protected from the recent ATF ruling about pistol braces by an injunction.

While the NRA continues its focus on "hunting sports," FPC _gets_ the original intent of the 2nd Amendment. Just read it. It's clear.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

BTW, "well-regulated" means well-trained; and according to the US Code, every able-bodied adult male citizen *is* the "militia." So cut the nonsense about "extremists." This is our land, our country, these are our homes and our families--and the natural right of self-defense exists despite what anyone, anywhere, says or even legislates to the contrary.
