Should be yes. As soon as you break the thing you should sweep it into a wallet.
You CAN send multiple times to the same address and have more than one utxo on the same address, but that’s not gud 2 dew
I’m not sure if it’s possible to spend only part of the utxo tbh. But don’t do that if it is
👍🏽Thnx for the info my fren

You can send change back to the same address you’re spending from but you definitely should not do dat
When I first ventured into btc I thought they sounded pretty useful from a stand point of an airgapped way to store fractions of an overall stack with no watch only wallet trail to said btc…I’ve just never gotten around to using them🤷🏽♂️
Still I suppose if the regulatory environment here in the states ever got bad enough it’s not a bad way to completely airgap ur sats/coins with no way to be doxed through an app/watch only wallet 🤔…even though the utxo hx would still be on the blockchain🤷🏽♂️
I have given a few as gifts. I imagine they’ll all end up that way or potentially buying something cash peer to peer at some point

Not sure what you mean by airgapping in this context 🤔
I think he’s saying he doesn’t trust his softwares not to dox his xpub to the nodes it talks to for data, and saw open dimes as a solution
That’s why you gotta run your own node!
Was just about to say as far as the dox part, definitely wanna run a node if that concerns hue (and it should so you should)
I do but thinking about switching to a start 9 system

I do (run a node) but I still figure watch only solutions like sparrow or nunchuck (esp nunchuck if u use a phone app) are weak links to identifying/doxing utxo’s even if the private keys are stored off line…am I wrong on this?
Except for occasional utxo management I only transact with lightning and even then it’s primarily for orange pilling frenz (giving small amounts) and then to pay said frenz when I owe them for something like a meal if they prefer btc to cash (and they almost always do).
