Can you name something Anti-capitalist?

I don't sense this - but it may be who you know in person or online in the community.

I’m a big fan of Jack Maller and his podcast but he recently went on a rant about not buying anything beyond life’s simple needs and why would you spend on fiat consumption when you can buy more sats and a part of that personally resonates with me but I don’t think we need to cultivate this cult of sats over stuff.

Bitcoin is freedom, and freedom means a lot of different things to people so we need to allow for that varied definition in the community when it comes to spending.

OH - I gotcha.

Yeah, Jack is WAY over the top.

I'm 61 and appreciate Jack's perspective. But I can't do that. I'm too old to recover so I have Bitcoin, Stocks, Silver, Gold (in that order of assets). We also spend a lot of money traveling and w/family spread out everywhere (we have 5 kids).

I started a company in the 90's. I was working an Engineering job and then coming home and working until 1am most nights - and honestly all weekend. I did this for 3 YEARS before I was able to quit my job.

I see Bitcoin to they young (which I was) the SAME as I saw my company back then. It was such a great opportunity I HAD to work as many hours as physically possible to make it happen. There are a hand full of people I know that would do that - because they won't become 'unbalanced' enough to fight for that dream.

Jack is fighting for that dream.

Bitcoin is freedom, but freedom is not necessary free. Just HODING #Bitcoin for a decade is VERY HARD. Requires massive reading and some instant pain along the way that will test any human.

I think some Bitcoiners see it as the easy path. Which it is, if you can endure the pain and have massive patience!

100% agree Jack's message won't resonate with most! But hope this helps clarify his position! I wish a HUGE dream on everyone!
