2 1/2 hours later... We have water! Forgot to have the faucet running last night. Used a buddy heater in the garage to thaw the pipes where our whole house water filter is located. Guess I need to get those insulated... When it get into the single digits the garage insulation doesn't keep up.

Good news!

Single digits is no joke.

And the kitchen is starting to drip... It freezes first. I think the people who installed the insulation put the line on the outside... Which causes it to freeze first. Finally get some dishes done.

Last winter I learned that a simple IR thermometer will show you exactly where you need to direct the heat.

Fuck why didn't I think of that. I have one too.
