So if something has a higher stock to flow ratio it’s rarer? It would take 66 years to replace the existing supply of gold?

Rarer to produce yes

So, this is where I must have a gap in my knowledge. If you it takes 66 years to replace the existing supply/stock. I would say you have a lot of supply/stock. Which doesn’t have anything to do with scarcity or rarity.

When I look at stock to flow ratio all I see is how quickly can the asset get diluted. 66 years would take multiple decades to dilute the existing stock.

What am I missing?
