Why can’t iOS scan a QR code that is displayed on its own screen? Am I missing something?

Take the picture then access from photos I think

Okay, that worked. Guess I can do those extra steps. Would be awesome to have it recognize on the fly, but that would take a decent amount of processing power.

It's super annoying. Some apps allow using a local file/screenshot.
