My wife and I both contracted a respiratory illness at the same time. We’ve spent the last few days in bed, binge watching shows, fever ridden, wool blankets on, wool blankets off, waking in a pool of sweat when the fever breaks. It would seem that this circumstance would not be a pleasant memory, but it is. Sometimes the most unlikely circumstances can lead to quality time with each other, forces out of our control eliminating all expectations and tasks; with the noise limited, the signals that keep us going fundamentally become so clear.
