I mention Fallout 4 a lot lately even though it's not my favorite game, because it's my benchmark for the heaviest payload a computer should ever be able to run.

I think if your video game or AI model can't run on a computer that can run Fallout 4, it must be even more wasteful than Fallout 4, which is unacceptable.

Small devices like phones are now finally reaching this level of power, so the topic keeps coming up.

In other eras, where we don't have so many discussions on the topic of processing power limitations, I mention New Vegas a lot more than Fallout 4

640k was obviously not enough, bill gates is retarded

Gigabytes of ram and terabytes of storage per system are obviously enough for everything programmers have time to come up with for now

GTA V is easier to run than Fallout 4, because Fallout 4 is so wasteful

We should be working on making games like GTA V that are easier to run than GTA V, instead of harder

But while we keep pointlessly making games harder to run, the remastered version of GTA V with ray tracing is also about as easy to run as Fallout 4, because Fallout 4 is too wasteful

Bill Gates being dumb isn't my fault, we've gone too far now with programmers getting obsessed with making payloads heavier instead of lighter

If the human race survives world war 3, we could need more than gigabytes of RAM someday, but first programmers would have to actually figure out how to use gigabytes of RAM and hit limits with it and still have ideas for how to use more

We're nowhere near that happening, we just have programmers wasting it and hittingimits while they still have ideas for how to waste more

reminder this phone seems to have OS-level malware infecting the keyboard, good example of programmers wasting time and not actually getting work done (can't even make the companies they work at stop putting malware in the phones they sell)
