Primal has done an amazing job and built an amazing set of apps, and I have no doubt that they will be very popular. All the more reason for them to not be complacent with this feature, but rather lead the charge and set a higher standard when it comes to use of algorithms.

this is the plan, and the entire primal stack is intentionally foss so if others think they can do it better forks are welcome

We’re not in disagreement here except for the urgency with which we think this issue should be addressed. I am not a dev, so I cannot fork anything. Most users will be in that category with me. We have to use what others make. I will welcome Primal’s change on its use of algorithms when it happens.
