#Bitcoin    Inscriptions push two end zone results into the foreground:

1. Blocks are full from a data perspective --> this was always the expected result.

2. Fee pressure builds making on-chain more expensive --> also the long term expected result.

So what is the problem?

Constraints breed innovation.

When Ethereum fees rose, they built Layer 2s to solve it.

If blocks are full of data you don't like, make high demand monetary applications to crowd out the jpegs.

We're entering a golden era of #Bitcoin    innovation.

Embrace it.

Yes. Good take.

Good take as usual #[1]

I am still annoyed by it, but I have to admit I saw very animated discussions as a result of all of that. And that’s how we progress as a protocol.

This.

The only thing I hope doesn’t happen is that some extreme part of the community pushed for either a) reduce blocksize limiting this kind of things, or b) do nothing

This is a beautiful opportunity for Bitcoiners to find a reason to push an upgrade that can allow bitcoin to scale through L2.. adding trustless L2 enabling SPVProofs to be understood by nodes or ZKProofs to enable rollups

We can do that without increasing L1. We can probably say: hey let’s use those 4mb to enable trustless L2 where people can create nfts ig they want while other side chains and L2 can be more focused on money making the whole bitcoin experience much better

Yes agree. Luckily, the loud minority are not consensus, and even they understand there is no successful chainsplit of bitcoin.

I suspect inscriptions have increased, not decreased the probability of ossification now.

I hope we don’t ossify before at least adding Eltoo, ZK and few other upgrades needed ..

Also lightning channel factories, we can onboard the entire planet in 150 days with them! Yet we are a few years away from that according to the lightning developers I've talked to.

Don't like this argument. Why not just reduce the block size? That will have the same effect plus make it easier to run a node.

It is already easy to run a node, even post inscriptions.

Are you running your node from a village in rural Africa?

I don't expect you to understand TBH.

If you did, you wouldn't own Eth/have owned Eth so recently.

You're right, im a fool, you should probably stop following me, everything I say is pure noise.

😂 couldn’t be further from the truth

Appreciate this take and all your takes. Thanks for all you do. ⚡️ 🫂

I will look out for when you get the zap button 😊
