Listening to this talk I think explains a lot about Alex Gleason's perspective on Nostr. I'm at the part right now where Alex says that the key difference between email and Nostr is that Nostr will create the services that people want using AI.

However it seems to me that the service people want is email... That's why people use it. I don't see how using AI to vibe code up a bunch of extra features would have prevented the Gmail monopoly.
