I mean I don't think that really matters. But sure. Obama killed US citizens without a trial. He had a kill list. GW Bush is considered a war criminal in many nations and was by the left before Trump. Now they seem to miss him. We are in a weird time.

I think you are misunderstanding. It doesn't matter if you and I believe it. It is likely Trump supporters will believe this narrative.
The fact that you are using these terms to describe the article also are a clue. Forget the writer. The writer is sourcing corporate media sources not making stuff up. His conclusions are his, but the stories are not from fringe sources.
Its a mess. I don't want it to be intentional or anything like that. At best it is utter incompetence. That isn't good either.
As someone that believes the governments are full of incompetence I think it is very likely the SS just sucks this bad. But, that doesn't really matter. Most Trump supports think law enforcement are heroes and with their high view of law enforcement and the military they are more likely to see this as intentional.
This whole thing just keeps getting wilder.
