I always look at the profiles of people who comment/zap/react/repost my notes and follow them and see who they're following
Also check who follows me 🫂 😎 💜. When in a note you're replying to have a peek who's also commented. This helps me find people with similar interests and content ☕ 🐢 🌻

I search through my followers with the lowest followers. I find the freshest and sometimes most realest of people this way.
