As a former BBS junkie, using the same Majordomo MLM as Satoshi way back when, I never thought I would have the opportunity to see something as cool as the beginning of the Internet.
I fondly remember my buddy, in those early days, as he worked for CSCO explaining things to people. Three decades later he is still there. My favorite story he told, circa 1995, AOL and Dial up was all the rage, before 56K modems.
In exasperation, to his own mother who was not understanding what the Internet was or what he did at Cisco:
Him: "Mom, we make porn go faster."
His mom: "Oh...okay."
The way he told it in person still makes me laugh. At the time, I was buying four stocks: INTC, EMC, SUN, CSCO.
INTC - Chips
EMC - Storage
SUN - Software
CSCO - Networking
I was really young, I didn't have much money but I let it all ride on these. Exactly like so many of you complaining about the old boomers buying Bitcoin or have all the money.
Guess what, back then the OLD guys were not buying those Internet stocks and they all went on to 10x for me. Whatever you are buying in Bitcoin now, you are way ahead.
In those days it was called a "10 bagger" and I was 4/4.
I invested in what I knew is all. I am grateful for NOSTR and Bitcoin.
I see the vision, I had a lot more energy back in the 1990s, before most of you were born, just keep pushing. Like I did back then and buying Bitcoin now, so in 29 years you will be the old man telling stories of the early days of Bitcoin.
