I was there when #chef became a thing for deployment and provisioning of servers and apps. and it was fascinating. Being built on #ruby was what caught my attention, but it's client/server architecture kill it for me. I eventually settled on #ansible though I don't love #python as much as #ruby

Interesting however how much of Adam Jacob woes would haven been lessened with a little of #stoicism
