Self taught web dev that decided I needed a systems language so picked up Rust. Having the compiler yell at me has been the best teacher.

Oh. And now it's useful for trying to brute force embedded stuff.

I decided on learning Go a few years ago. Not sure I have the bandwidth at the moment for Rust, but someday…

Diving into Go taught me about using channels between threads and such.

Yes, Goroutines are very slick for that.
