On June 1, 1941, during a pogrom in Bucharest, #Saint Constantin Sârbu shielded Jews from the Iron Guard, offering refuge in the Bucharest University Chapel. Dragged out, he refused to renounce his faith, declaring Christ as his only leader. He was brutally tortured and murdered, becoming a martyr for his unwavering belief and selfless protection of others.
