I hate to be the guy to say it, but before Californians start to rebuild, their building codes need to be reviewed, rather than the emphasis on environment maybe they should focus on structural integrity and flame resistance.

I know a couple of years ago They started making us use type IL cement in our concrete because it has a lower CO2 footprint but the reality is, they are cutting the cement with ground limestone or fly ash. Since we’ve been using it, we get many more shrinkage cracks even after following all adequate curing methods.

California has a huge impact on all our specifications used throughout the country. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the infrastructure that was built in the last 5-10 years has 1/2 the life cycle of structures that were built with type I or II cement.

Glad to get a builder’s input on that.

On Thursday's NO AGENDA podcast, John C Dvorak, who lives 400 miles away from the hotspot said that California used to manage the debris, dams and made clearing paths to mitigate fire damage. Even Ducks Unlimited would do this but it's all been eradicated by weak leadership.

Also Adam Curry read an old 1800s account of how bad the fires were in this area. Hundreds of years of data!

You are correct about the concrete. Roman aquaducts are 2000 years old and made of concrete with volcanic ash.

Still as you point out the environment needs to be human centric and not earth centric. Earth centric is anti-human or at best for the elites who think there are too many plebs.

Their own arrogance caused this.

Multiple levels.

It's also a reminder that Asheville in North Carolina is still destroyed, Sarasota and the West Coast of Florida is still under repair and neglect.

No where on this planet is safe from nature. We live here at the pleasure of God. No where in the Universe is there safety from creation. There is only cultivation and cooperating while egos and ignorance will always make things worse.

I think most of it comes down to forest management like you mentioned. With things like control burns of underbrush to keep things like this from happening.

Yes, this is a better strategy than sodomy and pedophilia.

We don't want controlled burns, this is the 21st century. We want wood gasifiers attached to robot mules mining bitcoin.

Worked for flared gas at oil drill sites.

Well said, I’m gonna listen to the podcast

Thank you for you courage.
