I cannot overstate how beautiful Madeira is… this was just a random shot across the street from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. This island is really spectacular and I can’t speak of it highly enough.

According to locals, the current weather is “the worst” but it’s only rained one or two days we’ve been here and when it rained it was very short-lived…
The temp has been between 60-75F and this is considered their “winter.”
“Bad weather” in Madeira is perfect weather almost anywhere else.
It’s like San Diego but without the California leftists.
i still can't get past the fact that there are almost no flat surfaces on the island, 5months of everything being uphill/downhill walk has left some trauma 😅
