If i know someone who is notoriously irresponsible, I’m going to recommend they use custodial bitcoin. The equation is simple. If the chances of them rugging themselves is bigger than the chances of a custodian rugging them, it doesn’t make sense for them to self custody.
What about collaborative multisig self-custody where they themselves are eliminated as a single point of failure?
