my favourite weird bird is woodpeckers

that sound is like the cliche movie sound effect of arrows hitting wood, every time i hear it i'm like "wtf"

when i first actually saw what made the sound i was like "ooh, woodpecker"

it makes me smile every time in the same way as blackbird songs and canary sentry songs (literally sounds like it could be "everything.... ok" "everything... ok" and you know that they spotted something when they change the "ok" word to a different tone
