After reading the book, “The Hidden Life of Trees” by Peter Wohlleben, I thought it’s best to try to propagate it near the chomped stem, as plants have a way of supporting one another through root systems. So I used the rooting hormone powder and stuck it in the soil right next to it. No idea if it would work, but worth a try. Some of the outer edge of leaves wilted, but several are still getting by. We’ll see… 💚🤞
